Is this oven big enough to roast a chicken in? Can pyrex be used in these or will that crack? Thanks!

Does anybody know if the timer on this thing makes a ticking sound when counting down? We have gone through two ovens in the last two years due to this very annoyance. Can't seem to find any that doesn't...it is a deal breaker for me.

No ticking, just the sound of it running and it beeps when you press start and when the timer runs out. Hth

alright after thinking about this all day, reading reviews, your imput .. I ordered it. Hope I like cuz $200 bucks aint cheep. Oh and I didn't see much about cleaning. Is it a pain to keep clean?

I just put foil on the bottom of mine, and every few months I replace the foil when it gets dirty or has too much cheese drip or whatever.

so you don't get splatter from meat etc making a mess out of the glass or the sides of the inside?

I have this and it def just does what it says it does.. I dont know anything about the fancy IQ crap..

I put food in, set temp and its cooked perfectly - that's all I care about.

I usually don't cook much meat in it. Mostly baking things like brownies, pies, or other desserts. Also reheating pizza, etc.

Yes you can roast a chicken, sometimes there's splatter but not much.

This oven is AMAZING. My mother had one, and I purchased one at BBB. I never use my big oven anymore. This cooks everything perfectly!

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond with the $50 off $100 Home Depot coupon to see if they would match it for this oven and they wouldn't. I said "It's the exact same discount as your 20% off coupons, can you just give me the 20% off?" and they wouldn't give me the 20% because I didn't have the coupon with me. Those coupons are floating around everywhere! They wouldn't take the home depot coupon because they are not a "competitor"

Anyways, I asked if they would match competitor prices, and they said "yes". I showed them the Home Depot website that has this Breville oven for $179, and they matched that price! They didn't even realize the oven from home depot is re-manufactured!

It's funny how they wouldn't give me the 20% discount, which equated to $50 off but they were willing to take $70 off through a price match from Home Depot (which they first said wasn't a competitor)

TIP: If you're going to cook pizza in this oven, get the pizza stone. It is GREAT!
