Anyone know if this will this work on my Logitech Revue (it has USB ports).
My wireless is spotty in the living room

A better antenna is always helpful but without knowing your spefic use and the physical layout it's difficult to say if it's "worth it". Wireless reception is more art than science and sometimes you have to fiddle with different setup to see what works best.

I'll say this much though. One thing that novices often overlook is that one of these gadgets is only 1/2 of a set up. So what if the Alfa can transmit up to one mile? if the AP sending the signal can only push it 1/4 mile the link is not going to happen.

Curious. Click on the link in my post. That page has an example of what a real Alfa sticker look like. Does it match up with what is on your unit?

The chipset this is based on (Realtek 8187) and this device (AWUS036H) have been proven to be better quality-wise than even the B/G/N version (AWUS036NHR) and even all other Alfa wireless adapters. So yes, no wireless N speed but better connection quality and range but not max speed.

OP, this does not fit the definition of "extender" . Extenders enhance and rebroadcast your router's signal, am I wrong?

can this be plugged into the router or it has to be a computer?

Dont fall for this. the anenna does detect the networks but the net works dont have the same antenna thus cant reach you. So basically you can touch them but they cant touch you!
