Nice, I'm looking to pick up a Fire HD 8.9 for my parents for the holidays.

They do charge tax on the transaction, right? So for those who can still get the stuff from Amazon w/o sales tax, this would amount to less than $10 in savings...

True... Although I live in a state where amazon does change tax. Also- GameStop only charged me tax on the $200 difference ($100 trade actually took $108 and some change off)

I'm looking for a deal on the same item. I've been told by retailer friends that the price won't drop, but retailers may throw in a gift card, like Game Stop and a few others have been doing recently. I'm hoping Amazon has some good promotion coming up on this, but haven't heard anything, and I'm an Amazon CC holder. I've considered buying the Best Buy gift cards for Amazon at 10% off (price matching ToysRus ad) and then using the gift cards to get the Fire at Amazon, since I'm still in a no tax state.... Thanks OP for the deal, but with tax here it cuts into the deal too much. Happy Holidays, wish I had a Kindle to trade in, now THAT would make the difference for me! |

This deal is still on... Thanks my wife used some christmas cash to buy this and get the Giftcard. BTW this is on the Kindle fire HD 7" as well
