Cyber-A is week though. Logitech is selling their speakers are the same price, but logitech is a better choice in terms of quality and power. Their desktop 2.1 speakers are 60W to 75W while the Cyber-A is like 20W. Plus Logitech "looks" cooler.
This is my first cyber A. I had two diff logitech system, speakers and wirings went out early. I guess well see how this holds up.
I have these exact speakers on my computer in my office at work - they are amazing for the money!! They can produce a LOT of volume, kick out tons of bass, and sound great! I crank up the tunes after the office closes. The "satellite wired remote" is very handy - I use it every day. Only downside - I have also noted (as did another poster) that the sound is quite a bit lower when using the headphone jack. I have owned these for several months with no problems at all. I highly recommend them for the price.
I just picked one up at Staples with the 20% off coupon.l couldn't find any at 1st but knew the tracker said they had them online. The guy in the store was clueless. But they had a bunch on the counter where the ink and stuff is behind the counter.
I don't know that I would pay $30 for anything from Cyber Acoustics. I've tried several of their PC speakers that were on sale, and was never happy with any of them. With refurb Logitech deals, that's probably a better way to go. I bought my refurb Harman Kardon 2.1 speakers for $39 shipped, and they blow everything else I've tried away by leaps and bounds. My son has an Altec Lansing System that I got for $20. It's OK, but nowhere even close to the Harman Kardons. But they are still better than anything I ever bought that was Cyber Acoustics. I've never had Logitech speakers, but they must be better than CA. I will admit that it has been many years since I bought CA speakers, so maybe they have improved. I'm just not willing to go down that road again.
Just picked an online reservation from staples. Placed it last night when it was still $29.99 and they honored it today. To make the deal sweeter, I used a 20% off single item coupon that was posted yesterday too. Slickdeal!
Just a quick heads up. When using video LAN the sound sucked really badly when the volume on the program was above 100%. I lowered the program volume to about 60-80 and used the external volume dial to turn the volume up and the sound was much better. Ymmv
