Deal Details

Amazon.com recently reduced the price an additional 10% down to $33. Not the lowest on Slickdeals...but seems to be quite good for this device.

What can I use this light switch for (please add)?
  1. outside light
  2. bathroom fan
  3. I have a similar switch controlling an outdoor outlet located under the eave of my garage on one corner of my house. I use that outlet to plug in Christmas lights (starting point) each year. Then I turn the switch from manual to auto, and let them turn on/off as programmed until I take them down and return the switch to manual mode (usually in "off" position).

Pretend that you're at home, when you are not.
Have lights turn off/on automatically when you go to sleep or wake-up, cause you are lazy.

Bought one of these before, still sitting in the box. I dont know how to wire it up, it requires an extra wire that my sockets dont have....

Been looking at one of these but I need one to control 2 light switches, anyone know where to find one? I've got 2 toggle switches in 1 wallplate.

I picked up 2. I hope it's easy to wire up. I have put in light fixtures before but no idea with this thing. If I'm all fried up next week sometime you will know that I did it wrong.

OK price, but they just had a LD for it last week for $25. I received it a few days ago, but haven't had opportunity to do anything with it yet.

Umm ... if you, for some bizarre reason, want your bathroom fan to vary by the annual solar calendar (sunset time, by data and latitude) ... then yes, I suppose it is!

PLACE OF PURCHASE and PRICE needs to be in the title.

I have one, works like a champ. Although, it did take me a few tries to get the 3rd wire correct.

As long as you have a) a neutral line in the box and b) space in the box for this larger switch you'll be fine. Turn the breaker off first, and use a volt meter if you're ever unsure.

OP: you need to put price and store in the subject line. C'mon, you've been here almost seven years, you should know that!

Thanks for your safety concern. Smilie

I didn't think about the double switch as someone else mentioned but since they would just be for a little lighting before I return home I guess I can use random single switches.

Will you be setting a timer as per your bowel movements? If you and your digestive system where in sync, then yes by all means buy this. If not, no and go with countdown timer like this one for a little less:

Thanks, hearing that might make me more likely to attempt it sooner rather than putting it off for months.
