Amazon.com recently reduced the price an additional 10% down to $33. Not the lowest on Slickdeals...but seems to be quite good for this device.

This needs the large rectangle wall plate, not likely the one you had from the switch. And yes, the white is the neutral
Actually, the large rectangular style light switches are pretty standard here in my area. I know all new(er) houses have them.

Maybe so, but look closely at the "cut-out" area. It's not a standard wallplate. I know, I had to buy one. Plus it's only $2.89. I'm not sure how much they are at Home Depot.
The rectangular plates are actually standard/common here.

The cheapest ones at Home Depot are like a buck or less I think.

I picked up 2. I hope it's easy to wire up. I have put in light fixtures before but no idea with this thing. If I'm all fried up next week sometime you will know that I did it wrong.
Did you ever install these? How have they held up over the last two years? Any issues at all with them?

Yep...well actually I had an electrician out to wire up the security cameras so I had them do these too while they were at the house. I like them a lot.
No issues... they work very well. Thumbup from me.
