That's gone back up to $255.00 (plus 150.00 off with the promo code). I just didn't really have the need of another lens so I didn't put it......so add 105.00 to the order and you get all three lenses.

I got all that and 55-250 for 440 few days back..... If only that'd work again

Adding 105 will make it $529, the other lens 55-250 mm is IS, you don't want a big zoom lens without optical image stabilization unless you plan on using it with a tripod only. So the other lens is more useful than this 75-300 mm one.
Still at $429 it is a deal for those who missed the other one on BF. Wait till march and you will likely get T3i for the same price...

A great alternative to the canon bag is the amazon backpack also free. It holds more, keeps your hands free and has side straps for a tripod which is a great feature. I like that I can have my gear bag on my back when shooting instead of placing it down.

The 75 - 250 lens is worth the extra if you take a lot of long zoom shots on the move, but in reality most people use a tripod or monopod when taking long zoom shots so the 75-300 will do nicely.

Tmart has filters, lens hoods, grips, remote, etc cheap.

Make sure to get a lens hood! The square trade warranty is a good way to go too, even better if you have the 40% off coupon code.

Good deal, as others have said, I have seen better but if you want to wait for "better" well, might as well get a camera to hold you over for who the heck knows how long. I would buy this if I were in the market.

Yeah...........waiting for "better" might not yield much. I think that "better" deal was actually a mistake that Amazon was just good enough to honor. That was this entire package plus the 55-250 for $453.....which probably won't ever happen again.....

eh.. i got the T3i on the deal with the printer, and lenses a few months back. much better deal on that vs this...
a) t3i is better
b) the 75-300 has no image stabilization
c) i got the 250mm lens with my deal and if you google that lens vs the 300 you ll see more prefer the 250
d) i paid less for the t3i, 18-125mm, 55-250mm, 32gb sd, case, (2) uv lenses than this deal (hey.. printer jammed so i returned the printer and still got a rebate in the mail).

The thing with cameras is that most people will never use a third of the features. I'm guilty of it, I was foaming at the mouth over some of the t4i deals but after doing the research it was just overkill for me personally. I handled the t3 and t4s along with the I versions and the t3 had a feel that I liked best. Not to say it is the best of the bunch just my personal preference. To be honest I liked the Nikon d3100 feel too but I have a lot of canon gear already so the choice was easy. 12.2 Meg's does the job for me, I'm actually upgrading from my old 6mp rebel that I've had for about 10 years now.

I will sell all the crap lens, just keep the body. That gives me 424-170= 254. So the camera itself is about $230. Hmmmmm, not bad. But do I need it?

You have no idea how many sder bought 5d mark II. I think only 1/3 of them really know how to take a good photo with it. Overkill is not unusual here. If I can afford it, why not? that's the rational in SD
