to be honest this phone looks cheap and made of plastic with rubber coating paint on it.
Yeah, it's skinnier though. Worse manufacturer apps, worse camera by some accounts. No inductive charging option.
Worst part -- like the Lumia 920 it has no removable battery or SD card slot. Still, I'd definitely trade my 32GB HTC HD7 for it Definitely a top option if you're in the Windows Phone camp.
My son just got this phone a couple of weeks ago and it is AWESOME! It neither looks nor feels cheap and the camera is amazing. As you mentioned though, it does not have a removable battery or SD card slot.
My husband, oldest son and myself all got the Nokia Lumia 822 and LOVE them!
The Windows OS is so easy and really cool. LOVE the live tiles and there are over 120,000 apps currently available, with plans to add many more. It also comes with Microsoft Office.
The only complaint we have right now is the lack of accessories but I've spoken with Otterbox and a couple of others that say everything will be available this month.
Some people need a sympathetic pat on the head ... with a hammer.
glad this is back again. Now, everybody, please do me a favor and "bug the hell" out of tmobile CS or Chat, ask them about this offer, where to send in the phones, etc. They keep telling me this thing doesn't exist, like i'm delusional or something.
HTC website "FAKE" offer: http://blog.htc.com/black-friday/
offer: Trade-in your phone and buy a HTC One S or Windows Phone 8X with T-Mobile and we’ll send you a urBeats headset.
again, Both Tmobile and HTC say this is not theirs. then who put it up there? I'm not delusional. Tmobile's 8x has NO headphones in it, not even a cheap $1 headset. We all know that's what the monster beats is worth, but still, going through the trouble of putting a FAKE website with FAKE offers? the hell?
Looks like the internal MSFT offerring. They are HTC's own offer.
I used to be on the T-mobile Classic Plan (The plan that gives you the subsidized phones for upgrades/new lines) and was paying 139.99 + Taxes for two lines unlimited everything. I just switched over to value plan because of the long discussion I had with the loyalty rep. With the Value Plan, even though you are losing the subsidized phone pricing, you are getting a subsidized rate plan. I was eligible to migrate to the VP with a $100 migration fee (fees differ based on length of service left) and she waived the fee completely, which is awesome. So now my bill goes down to $100 every month.
Ironically, the goal of my phone call was to purchase the Nexus 4 at $199 at the subsidized pricing point for two more years on the classic plan (Which doesn't bother me because I'm going to always be a tmobile customer) . But with $40 savings per month, over the course of 2 years, thats almost $1000 in savings. And thats almost the retail cost of two brand new premium devices.
The value plan is definitely a no brainer. The only advantage of a classic plan is the fact that if you have patience, you almost can always get one of the newer high end devices for free with 2 year extension/upgrade after said phone has been released for a few months. But who wants to wait for their high end device? At least with the value plan, you can put a down payment, and only raise your bill by $20, which is still less than what you paid per month with the classic plan. And usually they offer some sort of incentive which lowers the overall out of pocket cost such as MIRs or instant discounts.
I highly suggest that anyone with a classic plan dont wait to switch...this is huge savings over the life of your contract.
And for those of us who aren't worried about unorthodox methods.. you can ALWAYS open a new ACCOUNT with those new devices that have become FREE on the classic plan, pay 1 month of service, cancel service, Pay $200 ETF and STILL come out ahead. This is how I will pick up the Note 2 when it becomes free. Just have to wait.
