You mean Biblical teachings like not judging others? I was raised Catholic, though no longer practicing, and it is certainly a Christian religion according to the typical definition of the word. It's followers believe in the divinity of Christ as the son of God.

Last time I checked there were plenty of "Christian" pastors looking to make a few bucks off the salvation of others.

Most christians don't follow the teachings of the bible. There's a lot of stuff in there that people completely ignore because it would be inconvenient to practice those beliefs. Naturally they have all sorts of justifications for why they don't follow them, but it doesn't make them any less of a hypocrite. It's disingenuous to single out Catholics for it when you should put the entirety of christian believers under the same scrutiny.
