They actually run a bit big. If you wear large UA or other Nike workout shirts, buy a medium.

Are these good as a first layer for snowboarding? Looking for something that wicks moisture and keeps warm.

That may be optimal for you since you plan to "grow into it".

But for people that aren't aware of these Dri-Fit, I will confirm that this runs LARGER than your average size. I am 5'8 @ 170lbs with an athletic build. I normally wear a Large in all normal shirts (including Nike) for a perfect fit..but these 100% Polyester Dri-Fits, I would consider wearing a Medium if I didn't want that baggy look...which most people won't. Now if it was the Dri-Fit Cotton (60%)/Polyester (40%) split, you would get your normal size for a good fit.

I can confidently tell you that whoever said that this dri-fit runs smaller, don't listen him/her. I am around Nike products pretty often and I am very aware of this line.

I have a slightly different one (Legend Dri-FIT Poly Men's Training T-Shirt whereas this one is Legend Dri-FIT Men's Training T-Shirt), and it's awesome for the gym or going on runs. I'm in for two, this is an incredible price and Nike is 15% CB through ShopDiscover. If there were more color options I'd probably buy 4-5.

And for those talking about size, based on the one I have these run slightly large, but not enough to make me deviate from my usual size.
