This Unit basically has 3 parts -

1. The Main Display unit (4.7" L x 1.13" W x 5.56" H) - runs on 3 X AA batteries - can be place anywhere within the home

2. Secure Weather Gateway with in-built Wireless transmitter (6.6" L x 1" W x 1.6" H) which uses the included Ethernet cable to connect to the internet router's Rj-45 out (No Wifi required) - Placed next to your internet router/modem.This comes with its own AC power adapter.


3.Wireless Temperature Sensor - 2 X AA - which can be placed anywhere outdoors to wirelessly relay temperature data back to Main display unit.This extension also be use in any room indoors to monitor temperature -- kids room etc although it will show up as "outdoor" temperature in the display.
