With the ASUS Zenbook UX31A deal yesterday for $618, this seems very over priced considering it lacks SSD, 1080p, IPS, and it's 1.6lbs heavier. Just my opinion!

Just FYI, I bought an Apple TV from this seller on Black Friday. While it was shipped quickly (not really packed well, just used a bubble mailer) it was model MD199E/A instead of the usual MD199LL/A here in the US. I double-checked the eBay listing and there was no mention of that, it even specifically said LL/A (eBay generated info).
So I'm in the middle of returning, and I have to pay to ship it back. Not sure what the E/A even means, but I did find this post that said it means country where originally sold (in this case Mexico?). https://discussions.apple.com/thr...0&tstart=0 So not sure if something shady is going on, but I feel a bit duped buying from a seller featured in eBay's own deal of the day emails. Probably it's fine, but I was worried about warranty (how would I explain that to the Apple store if it was broken, for example) or if I wanted to resell it later. So I just wanted to put out the warning--the Apple TV is small potatoes compared to a MacBook Pro. But no discredit to your OP, but I will be avoid this particular eBay seller in future. (I've been burned by eBay sellers a few times now). |

EDIT: Oh nevermind, not for any eBay purchases (that's lame PayPal: you're a subsidiary of eBay). But thanks for letting me know anyways! apple stuff sold by him are mostly the mexican or south american versions. you will have no warranty issues whatsoever though. once you get it set up and then register it on apple, it will start your warranty from then. i've done it. if you purchased it for your use, i would go ahead and use it without worries Last edited by yarnim; 12-08-2012 at 10:44 AM.. do you eat poop?
