Tripod for Canon EOS Rebel T3

I just bought the Canon EOS Rebel T3 and I'm looking for a tripod for this camera. I never bought one before. Can anyone recommend one to me?

Go to bhphotovideo, adorama, or any other of these big photo websites, and choose based on your options. I'd recommend getting something with a ball head instead of a video pan/tilt head. Tripods usually come with the head and legs separately, although serious ones like these have started including both together for easy buying for new photographers:

Still, I'd buy separately, as you can choose the leg needs and head needs separately. For example, my first tripod setup was Manfrotto 190Xpro legs with a 486RC quick release head.

Not really. It doesn't fold up very small, it has a pan head instead of a ball head, it's not very stable, I wouldn't trust that dinky quick release plate, plus you have no way to buy a second one, etc. etc.

You should read this:

If you aren't spending about $150-$200, you're doing it wrong.
