is this good deal for IPS panel ????

Eh... It doesn't have DVI and isn't VESA mount compliant. Thumbs down.

I thought it has hdmi.

the 24 (u2410) got several thumbs up, but this 23 doesn't, whats so different?

plus the u2410 is like $400? why the big price difference?

I have the "M" version of this monitor (DVI) and it's awesome.
For the price it can't be beat IMO.

IPS panel monitors often cost more than this one. And in terms of price for this particular unit, the price seems low compared to earlier prices. User reviews are good and bad like most any product, lol. But a number of users like it. One thing to keep in mind about this monitor, it appears to have a highly glossy screen. Sort of a full glass face based on the reviews. An interesting design, just make sure the gloss level is ok for the intended usage.

I have 2x M versions of this monitor (non-HDMI) great monitors spectacular for dual monitor setup. I did however pay $160 from Newegg FS w/$20 GC per just a couple weeks ago. So $170 + tax isn't so hot imho.

What is your impression of the gloss level on these monitors? Even though I hate reflections and particularly dislike notebook PCs with glossy screens, I have been considering a glossy monitor for my home office/workshop. My rationale is that I can perhaps deal with the reflections, due to having more control in the room over placement and lighting. But reports are this monitor is particularly glossy, so maybe it would not be a good fit for someone like me?

If they are roughly equivalent, that seems like a pretty normal price for the Asus, so not huge savings, but O.K.

Edit: newegg spec sheet has: VESA Compatible 100 x 100mm
