The set itself is not anything to get too excited about either. Three full size items (BW, body spray, deo), one trial size BW, plus the travel bag, for $15. eh. It's a nice enough set to give to a teenager, but as far as value of product, not interested in the set even on clearance.

I will however be out looking for half off Axe sets

I need some help with reading a coupon code. I found some duracell batteries marked down. Found a 2.00
coupon in my box that says good on coppertop and specialty batteries. The ucp on the batteries is 041333009636.
The coupon is 0041333-096468...will this one work? I also have a 1.50 off on rechargeables..... the last two numbers are 67. Would rather use a 2.00 coupon if it will work.

Look for these 50% clearanced Burts Bees Basics sets, $2.49 ea, use $1.50 MQ-- acai berry, UPC 79850017009; pomegranate, 792850017030; mango 792850017023. These were on the short shelves leading to cosmetics counter in a small cardboard display box.

Just an FYI that Axe gift sets rang up full price for me at 6:30. No ad in store but they overrode the price as the Wal app shows the price.

The Gillete gift sets that were ringing up $8.99 last week are now ringing up $7.50. Looks like they are back to the stickers price of $14.99 and ringing up 50% off.

I went to WAGS this morning and the SM told me they received an email from corporate telling them to break the sets apart on the axe (might just be the bar one) because they had full size items and they will sell it that way. I was only able to get 6 before they took them down.

Interesting, went to 3 different ones. First one nothing came up on sale and there was no one working the in the beauty are so I left. Second one, I showed checkout clerk the ad and she had me to talk with the manager on duty about overriding the price of the AXE gift sets. The cashier then went and talked to the store manager who happened to have walked in about the gift sets in general and he said for her ring them up at 1/2 price for me if it's not something they normally carry (ie the olay ones say Holiday Expection). The third store, BA was organizing the area and she said she was told anything with the red sticker price on them was 1/2 off.

On side note, at 2nd store I spent $44 dollars on skin products (these are how the gifts sets are classified), got a print out with code to claim a beauty sample box. There are 3 to choose from and you must spend $30 before coupons to get a code.

Although they've done that before and its nothing new, I still think it stinks. Especially since I just went thru the mid week ad better and they show Axe as one of the gift sets to be clearanced. Its bad enough if the stores do it on their own, but if corp sent out emails with those instructions, thats really bad. A bit of false advertising, I say.
