In addition, the Samson go has a small enough form factor that I can rotate the swivel at a 90° angle and hanging it's by the collar of my sweat shirt and use it as a clip on mike so that I have some freedom of mobility around my computer. It is not a wireless, however, it comes with a high quality USB cord that is much more flexible and lightweights then usual USB cords.
This cord is also lengthy enough not to be a hindrance and I can stand about the 5 feet away from a laptop with the hanging by the collar method. Of course you should go and check the online specifications for the exact length and other features of the microphone. Also check youtude reviews, there are many on the Samson go.
In regard to the snowball, there is a better and cheaper microphone called the Samson go. The Samsung go is only $40.00 at retail and online stores. The recording quality of the Samsung go is 16 bit 44 kilohertz which is CD quality, very good quality.
The Samson go is also more compact and has a swivel metal base that is also able to be clipped onto your laptop screen or other objects.
The Snowball is also CD quality. No difference in quality between the Samson Go and the Blue Snowball.
I've owned a Snowball for close to two years now. Tried and true microphone, one of the most popular high quality mics used by YouTubers. You will not be disappointed. I recommend recording with Audacity and adding stereo EQ or something, really sounds amazing when you do so
In for one because I dropped mine too many times and it's starting to conk out on me...
Both (Snowball vs yeti) look like great mics, but if i were to get one, which would i get for the best bang for my buck?
Sorry for DP, but the Snowball. The Yeti is great, yeah, but the snowball has GREAT quality for $42.
Blue makes the best bang for the buck microphones. These are professional quality mics that connects to your PC via USB without the need for special aux cables, amp, etc. Useful if you make videos, podcast, etc, on your pc, but also good for simple things like skype or other cam/voice-chat programs. The recording/sound quality is really clear.
Looks like the deal for the Blue Snowball is down. I'm seeing:
