Remember to RECYCLE the batteries when you are done with them. All you have to do is collect them in a small box or bin and drop off to a recycling center near you. it has never been easier to recycle your old used batteries. Stores like Home depot, Lowes, Radioshack, Best Buy etc. all will take your old batteries. Small effort on your part and way to save our Planet !

^This is for rechargeable batteries only. Alkaline batteries can be recycled almost nowhere. Most cities and towns say just to throw them in the regular trash.

^ My apologies, but the normal Alkaline batteries can also be recycled in those centers. I have a recycling bin meant for Alkaline batteries in my office. Mostly they recover the trace amount of Mercury from these batteries.

Yes, but don't be too quick to drop off more expensive laptop batteries in those boxes! You can still sometimes get a few bucks on eBay even for dead ones (others can recell/repair them)!
