What do you want from it, and what's your budget? The Nexus 4, like all Nexus devices, is sold at cost. So for $300, you have the latest and greatest Android phone, which makes the no-contract price of every single other phone look like a bad joke.
For low end I got a Pantech crossover on gold box $50 from Amazon and its a great small phone with keyboard for my 65+ year old in laws. They like it.
For high end I got a galaxy note i717 off Craigslist for $280 and love it. It'suser interface is a bit slower than my HTC Amaze 4G and camera is lower quality but the screen is amazing and the CPU itself is faster because now I can watch 720p mkv without stutter that I had on the Amaze 4G. A little to big though but pretty much retired my retina iPad since I got this phone, I noticed I haven't touched the iPad in 2 weeks.
