Just arrived today! It's beautiful and plenty large enough for my uses.

There are some plastic parts - mostly the seal beneath the lid and the interlocking lid itself. No issue here as the water temperature shouldn't be above boiling anyways - well below the melting point of food safe plastic.

mine came with some deep scratches on the glass. I emailed them for an RMA but no response. Will call them later tonight.
Are these scratches a concern? Or could i use it?

I purchased 4 of these and 3 of the interlocking lids don't really work as intended and just goes around and 1 of the unit works but the plastic is rubbing against the metal part and causing it to scratch a bit and the bottom plastic seal beneath is a bit loose. I called Bodum and they said that I can getting items replaced, but I will have to pay for return shipping on all items but they will waive the 10% restocking fee. I live in CA and have to ship to NY, which may be costly. Trying to determine if it's worth shipping back and getting new items and run the risks of the same problems. Plus the items may not get here on time for Christmas. They also state no warranty on these units. Buyer beware in case there is a problem with the unit.
