Excellent deal except for the low resolution of the screen. I wish there were more ultrabooks with 1600x900 resolution.

there are 1600x900 ultrabooks but you won't find them at this price level.

I was on the fence about this one and just picked one up from Staples at the same price.

Its a great deal for a touchscreen Win8, i have no regrets.

If you bought a laptop with a touchscreen, it wasn't this one.

Do you know of any that is less than $650 (shipping + tax)? i3 would be OK along with the usual configuration of 4GB RAM, decent hard-drive etc.

14" ultrabook with 1600x900 [amazon.com], from $634 shipped

Those who are selling this probably got it from the BF deal. So it should be in brand new condition.

a majority of ultrabook CPUs are low-voltage, how can a company promise 6 hour battery lifes with a CPU that takes up lots of juice. batteries in ultrabooks are usually sheet and much smaller.

yea it does seem like thats the trend now adays, low voltage for ultrabooks. i just dont like this trend. my dell vostro v131 which is an ultrabook they came with i3 i5 2nd gen full voltage cpu's. my particular model is a i3 2nd gen @ 2.2 ghz with a solid 6-7 hours of battery life.

i think its a silly trend, and people are getting weaker cpu versions. grrrr

I'm surprised at the thumbs down. This is not a bad deal for a thin light laptop.

That's what I figured, but mistaking a 13.3" screen for an 11.6"?
