Hello everyone. I have not been here in a while. Things have really changed. Any way. I just want to know what everyone does about those annoy rebate debit card they give now instead of checks. I use to use rebate checks to pay off my credit card, however I can't do that with the rebate card system.
just use this[squareup.com] takes out 2.75 percent but you can just add it straight to your bank account by swiping the debit card. Just request a free credit card reader for your smartphone and attach your bank account. I think paypal has something similar to this too..
but wait isn't that reported to the gov as income?
I don't know. But to me, that's like asking is paypal considered government income (i don't think it is for the normal user). Plus i would think there is some sort of limit you need to hit to be taxed on it.
I usually put the full amount of a rebate card onto a gift card from my local grocery store where I spend money regularly. I just need to do a self check out to by the gift card and it can be used immediately and it has no maintenance fee. If you are in certain States that allow you to cash out gift card balance (sometimes with a limit), you can cash out the gift cards afterward.
