Steve Gibson on password policies [grc.com]: I mean, I don't get this change it every eight weeks. ... It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?

How much are Big Macs normally nowadays, anyway? They're just two junior burger patties with three slices of bread and a bunch of lettuce, aren't they? Kindda like the "W" Burger at Wendy's but without the full complement of vegetables?
The Jack in the Box nearest me currently has a $4 combo advertised in their window featuring essentially the same hamburger, small fries and a drink... I went in and tried it. Many peoples like the Innuit and the massai eat enormous amounts of red meat and iron and have the lowest heart disease rates in the world. Take them to the US or England and feed them our diet? They get fat and develop heart disease Bottom line: eat foods that satiate you, and keep the calorie count low to suit your exercise level. I walk/run about 8 miles a day and keep it to 1600-2000 calories. The 2000-3000 calorie diet for couch potatoes is what causes heart disease. |

Many people drink a thousand calories a day of stuff you don't really want to eat any of (sugar) without even realizing it. I use a lot of coconut sugar and heavy cream in my morning coffee, and other than that its water. Its a surprisingly easy secret. Drink water, eat meat and fat, be satisfied, walk and move around, lose a ton of weight, be healthy. |
