This laptop has tons of potentials especially when Lenovo finally releases all those Ultrabay accessories (second GPU, etc). A friend of mine has it and it looks so much better than the previous gen Y series computers, not as flashy as the Alienware but looks meaner than the ASUS G series. The one piece access panel is a great feature.

Regarding customer service I think Lenovo is not much different from any other companies, my personal experience is that they are better than HP though. OTOH the Thinkpad customer service is second to none.

When I purchased my T430 it came with just a Lenovo box, but so was my previous HP and ASUS. If you order through Newegg I think all laptops were put into another box to protect it.
