I only joined these threads because I'm genuinely interested in the product. Sadly, a lot of info gets lost because they get shut down. Even the new MK809 thread got shut down. So we try to keep this one on topic, eh?

My bluetooth and wireless devices wouldn't wake it (no big surprise - but I tried a wired USB keyboard and that wouldn't wake it either. Also, once I select the button to hide the notification bar I haven't found a way to bting the notification bar back without restarting the unit. Again, maybe I am missing something - I haven't spent that much time trying to figure that part out. |

I don't think there is a way to turn the device back on once you turn it off. I suppose it's really just there in case people are squeamish about not shutting it down properly? |

I think you may be right and it actually Turns the device OFF and doesn't just put it into a sleep state. It would have been nice but I will probably just leave it on 24/7 like I do my phone. I will Root it when I get a chance and that should at least provide "Reboot" functionality with an app in case it starts acting weird. |

About the stand off feature. I came to realize that the app in the app store (i literally just downloaded "Screen Off and Lock") and it goes to what I believe is a standby mode) My K400 wakes up the device (no bootup time which shoes the imito logo) and works.

I took some quick readings with my Kill-A-Watt Meter and the results were: ON and idle - 1.2W to 1.3W OFF but plugged in (using Factory shutdown button) - 1.2W to 1.3W "SCREEN OFF AND LOCK" App - .9W to 1.1W I never would have guessed those results, lol. If anyone is interested I can post some more power draw figures under varying usage scenarios tomorrow - I need to get some sleep now. |

Standard = 1080p, wifi, and bluetooth receiver plugged in Booting takes 2.2W to 2.7W ON and idle 1080p with live wallpaper, wi-fi,bluetooth and bluetooth receiver - 1.7~1.8W ON and idle 1080p with live wallpaper - 1.5W-1.6W Youtube Video 1080p, Standard - 2.1W-3.0W Playing Music Through Spotify, Standard - 1.5W-1.7W (initial was 1.9, then lowered after 4 seconds. Downloading file I guess) Will test more later. Looking at this power usage.. I'm questioning.. Can I get a 2A battery pack and plug this device in it? I would probably get a good 3-8 hours on it right? o-o 1-2inch usb cable and I'm good to go. |

In any case, 5 watts isn't enough to make me all that concerned about the power it draws -- 120 watts a day is like a penny or two for power a day. |

My wifi locked up again this morning requiring me to toggle it on/off to get it to work again. I may think about getting a USB ethernet adapter if this keeps happening. It's pretty annoying to be streaming something only to have it stop in the middle, argh! |

I was already AES/TKIP, but I guess I can try no security (my router will throw up a login page, so it's not totally unsecured...) EDIT: And I think you are lucky .
