I'm also trying an app that is supposed to periodically check the wifi and toggle the connection if it can't connect to the internet. https://play.google.com/store/app....wififixer While I'm at it, anybody know of an app to automatically reboot an Android device on a schedule? I'm planning on setting up my parents with one of these, but it's still a little too unstable to give to them, so I was thinking maybe rebooting it once a day would help? |

If you go that route my research shows that you should go with an adapter running the ASIX AX88772 chipset for best results. |

There are free alternatives, but you just need to root. |
|
|
to download.... |

You are absolutely correct. You MUST ROOT to access the Reboot function in Android. If an app says you don't need to Root then it does not actually turn the device off and restart. I should have stated that. |

If you still have trouble I can figure out something - I don't feel right uploading it here. |

I just rooted My MX2.
For anyone interested in Rooting their MX2 - I followed the instructions Here: http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtec...f=76&t=448 You need to register to download the files you need. It was pretty straight forward once I got my computer to actually recognize the MX2 was attached. Have fun! ![]() Disclaimer: I have rooted many devices and never had a problem but there are always risks. Having ROOT access gives you the power to do wonderful things to make your device more enjoyable and also stupid things which may make your device inoperable. Any choices you make are your responsibility. |

cool - off to root!
Did anyone get the remote app to work? I installed, but it does not seem to do anything? EDIT: duh - you need to upgrade the firmware first... Not a great remote app, but it works Last edited by micl9; 12-17-2012 at 06:41 PM.. micl9
