i read on another site that if you "seeded" your first transaction with $50 in cash and then used the gift receipt to return whatever you bought there was no way of being tracked/flagged unless you used the same target over and over and they figured out what you were doing. i work in IT and i'm pretty confident that is a correct statement...without any identifying information on the initial purchase the computer cannot track squat.

it might be shady but it is an exploitable loophole...

They have the on duty LP dude follow me throughout the store. Then stand right next to me when I'm ready to pay at the cash register(s).

I act like he is a ghost (ignore him). When I walk outta the front door, I turn my head back and smile at him and tell him "You're watching the wrong person. Did you know lots and lots of shop-lifters are roaming in there right now? You're wasting your time on the wrong dude!"

Eventually, after a couple of days, he finally wises up! He realizes I take advantage of the loophole and he may not like it but there's nothing he can do about it besides making a face about it.

Why are they following you around? For the return exploit? I should have utilized this, would have lowered my OOP expense...but I did other things amounting to uhh lets just say a LOT of profit

I know they did it 3 weeks in a row last year

i hate the security guards at target. this one guy followed me around last year too and wouldn't let me use my coupons. lame and they have nothing else better to do.
