hello can you tell me if the following statements are true

Thank you for your inquiry. Here are the answers for your questions:

1) If you don't use 5MB in a particular month they will inactivate you and charge you $0.99 for every month you're inactive until you either pay to reactivate or cancel altogether.
1. The $0.99 charge is a fee to keep your account active. When you use less than 5MB in a month, we are charged to keep your account open and that is what this represents. I've been specially authorized to waive the fee and issue a one-time refund of 99 cents if ever you encounter something like this for the first time, just to keep you informed. You can avoid this in the future by simply turning the device on once and downloading a few emails or something easy like that.

2) If you do cancel, it's $19.99 to reinstate your account.
2. Yes. However, there is no cancellation charge.

3) Usage alerts cost $1.99 per month
3. Yes. However, you will always have an option to disable this feature.

4) modem warranty costs $2.99 per month.
4. Yes. However, you will always have an option if you would like to add this option.

5) If you come within 100MB of your limit and you have $2.00 or less credit on your account, you'll get charged $10 on the credit card that they keep on file as a result of their automatic top-up "feature".
You're given the illusion of being able to opt out of it, but if you do, your account automatically gets put into a suspended state which goes away when you re-enable it. So that lowers your actual free usage to 400MB."
5. The reason accounts got topped up is because they exceeded the data threshold on their account before our system was able to recognize the overage and suspend the account. We are working to convey this a little more clearly in our ToS/FAQ. Due to the fact that our system does not see your data usage in real-time, we are noticing that some users are being topped-up even though they have disabled the service. In these cases, users are being charged overage fees because they have gone over their data threshold within the three hour delay. Our system cannot suspend the account in time to avoid the overage. We are asking users to be aware of their usage when they get within 200mb of their limit. We are beginning to realize that it is quite easy to go from 400mb to 800+mb in just 2-3 hours. Unfortunately we cannot issue a refund for this data because it has already been used up. Because our system is alerted that they have surpassed the 400mb threshold after they have actually used more than 500MB of data, they are charged for this additional data used at a rate $0.02 per MB as an overage. Also it doesn't make sense to charge the payment method repeatedly with multiple charges of less than a dollar, so we charge their payment method $10, credit your FreedomPop account with $10 (which acts as a safety net that rolls over from month to month), and deduct the charges associated with the overage data used from this credit. Their account is not being topped-up, you are paying for overage data used. Since they have a credit in their FreedomPop account greater than $2, their account will not be suspended and they can continue to use data.

With the top-up feature disabled your account will only be suspended if your credit balance is below $2 and your data usage surpasses the 400MB threshold but does not exceed the 500mb free data allotment long enough for data usage to be reported to our system. I also encourage you to make sure that you are the only one using the device (don't share your password), and be sure to turn it off when you are not using it (it will continue to send and receive data in order to maintain its connection). I hope I have cleared this up for you.
