AAFES can occasionally give you a great deal, if you play it right. But keep in mind that their service leaves A LOT to be desired.
A recent personal example - I orderd Sony 55" TV on Black Friday (11/22), and got confirmation right away. 2 wks pass by w/ no updates. Called AAFES on 12/5 and was told that they are making sure they had enough in stock to fulfill all orders, but mine is confirmed, and will ship out the same wk. Again nothing happens for almost another wk, and my wife happens to check the order history, and surprised to find that the order was cancelled. Again, not a word it was being delayed or cancelled. I called AAFES yesterday (12/11), was told "I'm sorry, we didn't have enough in stock. What else can I help you with?"...
I understand their website is no where near Amazon, and yes, sometimes your oversell. But my problem is why/how would you tell your customer NOTHING? They couldn't possibly know that I had to rearrange my schedule just in case the TV gets delivered, and skipped on many other decent TV deals waiting for my order. I still have not received any email updates, and all they offered was 10% off for another TV purchase... Umm, no thanks. I don't think I'll ever purchase anything that I have to rely on chace to get it delivered.

Fry's has it for 1149 this week if anyone has Fry's near by (which is a huge YMMV). But there has been reports the color balance is not great on this TV.

I got it home last night and set it up. No issues so far. TV looks great. I had a 65 LG LED and the picture looks the same and the LG was $1000 more.
