the sony version is the same price why would you buy the sigma?

You're talking about the 50mm f/1.4 like this one right?
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pro...f_1_4.html I did a lot of research on both these lens and these two reviews helped steer me towards the Sigma, http://kurtmunger.com/sony_50mm_f_1_4id138.html http://kurtmunger.com/sigma_50mm_...id174.html Don't get me wrong, they are both great lens, but it is mainly the bigger focus ring and the 77mm filter size that got me going for the Sigma. |

Also from what I've read, the picture quality is better from teh Sigma. I don't have 1st hand experience with the Sigma yet so I can't confirm that. |
