Not sure why anyone is thumbs downing it, this (http://slickdeals.net/f/5662898-N...nline-only) semi popular Staples post was $234 before tax, which will bring it close to $250 in most states.

This is actually a good deal thanks to the no tax and shoprunner shipping.... but i already got a note 2 so no need for something that's 1.5in bigger

Agreed. They probably saw the $234 one and thought this is not a good deal in comparison

This needs to hit $199 shipped to be an all around slick deal. $220 shipped would be semi-slick. Anything more - meh. There's just not that much buzz anymore due to lack of deals on this. I think the 8.9" Kindle Fire HD at $249 was miles better than recent Nexus 7 deals. I'm honestly impressed Google has kept this 32GB tablet near retail since its release date. I'd still like to get one, but not over $200. Still using a Nook Color with CM7 and a ton of apps almost daily. What a great tablet. If we use a Nexus 7 half as much as the NC this past year, it will be a hit.

Me too. Sold my NCw/CM7 for $150.00 yesterday & miss it big time, single core though it was/is. I am getting the N7 for my b'day, 12/23, although I already know about it I am sworn to keep it wrapped til then. Everybody in the casa is so broke this year we've decided to play like all our wants that we purchased/received via BF/CM etc, are gifts. Wanna get another NC for rooting & possibly a Nook Glow. Just waiting for another refurb NC deal from B&N. (And a NG deal). TG, none of us have chillun's to provide for!
