This heater is low to the ground (about 16 inches), and has no guard or protection. This was on in a room I was entering, when my toddler ran in past my legs briefly touching the heater when she ran in, instantaneously sustaining a large burn to her arm. I was shocked to discover how hot it was and that there was no guard or cover over the exposed scalding hot metal - right at toddler height. Sure, the solution is never to let kids near hot objects - any fool knows that, but those of you who may ever have kids or pets in your home will NOT want this product around - please learn from my mistake.

Was $41+ship on sellout.woot deal in nov, so this seems a good price.
It definitely looks nicer than my fan heater, but I don't think they distribute heat as well. decisions.. |

Got this from target 2 years ago for 40 on sale. Great quiet heater for a medium-large room. Don't expect it to loudly blow heat in your face that's a different kind of heater. This will slowly and quietly (no fan) warm and maintain a room temperature, no problems so far, have it on 7–8 mths a year 24/7. Also has an auto off function I believe if it tips over. And heat only comes out to the very top of the unit and goes directly up so u can keep things quite close to it and they don't get warm at all. Hope this helps!
