All body armor cases usually lack in functionality. Speck is less protective, but has the sleep function.

For those of us RMA-ing, please post progress. The lack of real communication with beach kind of scares me. Like shipping to a black hole. I have seen nothing yet, like a receipt notice (ups said Friday, so there are a few days left), and even any communication on what beach's plan is (ship new one, etc, etc). Also if anyone is successful getting refund of shipping, other than lucky Niwtonnac.

I finally opened mine to set it up 2 days ago. Sure enough it would power on and begin the setup process but it kept stalling when trying to set up wireless. Apparently mine is defective and I have to send it back. Ugh. Emailed Beach Camera and they finally sent me an RMA with Fedex. Will send it off and see how quick it can be replaced. Mine is the CAOK group. Sounds like a lot of bad units were sent out.

Any word on the refund? Mine was delivered to Beach Camera on Thursday but still no communication from BeachCamera...

Not a peep and mine was delivered on Friday, and I can not figure out anyway to check either, so I may be sending yet another email into the beach camera black hole. I am looking for an exchange, and as soon as it gets taken care of, "then" I am going after my $11 shipping refund just for the heck of it. I am going to claim faulty packaging, seemingly always the buydig ones and point to this thread (with all the comments and also the Fed-Ex prepaid return labels later) as proof.

PS, I just got my "review my purchase" email from beach also. Hmmm, this is going to be fun...

I sent mine back delivery confirmation and got my notice on Thursday I think. I assume I'll hear something by Monday / Tuesday.

just received the full refund ($217) from BC today. Item was recieved on 01/03. FYI

Did you ask for a refund or an exchange? Mine keeps looking like a return, yet I had asked for an exchange, since it was faulty.

Knuckleheads refunded my order, and it was an exchange. It was received by them Friday.
