I asked for an exchange, got a refund. Contacted them, they said too bad, so sad. Looks like it is back to SD deal watch mode.
I asked them for shipping refund. They said send in a receipt and get store credit, which would be good if they have another ebay deal, but I am not sure I would even buy it from them. My current thinking is maybe just lick my wounds, buy at full rate $248 at sambos club, buy a 3 yr extension warrantee for like $24 or so, and be safer based on what seems to be a higher failure rate item. |

Looks like they shipped my replacement today and its coming by fedex ground again. Going to have to wait a week before it arrives.

Replacement came in today, box was in rough shape no cushioning inside just the nexus 7 box. Received a CBOK previous one was a CAOK. So far it works fine, kind of worried because of the condition the shipping box came in.

The replacement I bought at sambos club was a CC s/n and works great. 3 year extended warrantee for $24. I will NEVER buy from beach camera again...

Scared myself half to death... dropped the nexus 7 when i went to charge it, wouldn't power on, static screen etc, figured out it it was a loose battery. Popped of the back and reinserted the battery connector. I think some thin pieces of tape is too little to hold in the battery ASUS....

Got my exchange today. It doesn't even turn on. Have charged it for a few hours. All I can notice is a flicker of the screen while charging. This absolutely sucks.

I will add yet one more interesting comment. Someone mentioned earlier the same thing I noticed. There was one adhesive sticker on the package and it was just a single tape seal. The one I got from Sambos had one adhesive tape closing the box also, "but" it was one that when removed turned into a "VOID" label. I do not know if others that got the Beach deal saw this feature on the ones they got, but I am 90% sure mine did not have this.

whats the difference between CBOK and CSSN series that i got? or is it CSSK? print is faded R.I.P Aaron Swartz

B = 11, or Nov So CB0K means it was manufactured in Nov '12. CSSK doesn't seem like a valid hexadecimal value, so you might want to double check. The label on your box should have a section labeled "SSN" that will determine when your device was made. |

it wanted to do a lot of updates before i could use it, guess i could have had more recent hardware version but guess oct is OK i am going to use it overseas anyways, think that is gonna be an issue? anything i should buy here from google store before they charge me VAT ? thanks? |
