Thanks OP! In for 1 pair of the White Pearls. Good reviews on these headphones for those that like bass (listen to hip/hop, rap, dubstep, pop, electronic). These aren't so good for those that listen to classical and rock.
These will need probably around 100 - 200 hrs of break in time, so keep that in mind.
i picked up a pair of these last time they were on sale @ amazon. before that i'd only used v-moda earbuds, which were underwhelming and quickly returned. these, though, are the real deal -- currently my favorite pair of headphones, and so damn good i'm seriously considering the M-100s. get 'em while they're cheap!
Damn, they're the original LP, not the good ones, LP2.
Well, the LP2 had the bass reduced and emphasized the mids and hi's some more. But I would have to say based on all the reviews/feedback, that for $75 vs $175, these are great after they have been burned in.
The way I see it, these @ $75 plus a headphone amp (Fiio E11) @ $55 total = $130 for some bass heavy headphones that sound great. Use an EQ to make some adjustments and for less than the LP2's you get a great entry level set of cans with an nice portable amp.
Can't wait to try these compared to my HD280 pro's.
I'll have my HD280 Pros for my rock and classical and my VModa L1 for my rap/hiphop/electronic.
