Cool looking laptop. I've always liked the look and feel of the acer aspires. Good price for anyone who needs a small basic lappy. Upgrade the RAM for $20.

i see some local places with it in stock, still a hike to get to, is this worth it for $198? seems pretty bland in terms of specs and i dont think the wife is going to like the red

I agree, those lower power AMD chips are pretty good for what they are. I have an E350 DM1Z that I installed windows 8 on and it flies (I think win 8 really benefits from the gpu hardware integration).

Thanks. I've been waiting for a laptop to come under $200 to gift my grandmother. Hopefully one will be available in store. Does anyone know what kind of speed it has (can't find it on cpubenchmark)? I'm not expecting much for this price but still would like to know.

The more I read the more I am impressed. It also includes USB 3.0 And hdmi output according to the videos I've seen this quite the solid performer

i would also like to know how this c70 fares..
i've been using a c50 since that old $250 (w/$50 GC at Target) deal for a similar acer netbook/laptop. i know there were similar deals for a c60 version, but the difference wasn't too much.. if there is any noticeable difference, i may have to jump.. good deal OP |
