the C-60 never overheated and the battery life was about 5+ hours. i think the one i had was a 4 cell too.

No DVD installed right? "Restore discs are not included (unless specified by supplier). We recommend you use the installed software to create your own restore and backup DVD the first week you use the computer." heh. Well i have a dell plug in usb dvd writer anyway so i'm good.


I have a feeling someone is going to have a great xmas, and i'm going to be having fun playing with it.. including putting in a GPS inside it, and MS streets and trips.

Tempting, cheap ram, cheap ssd. Usb 3.0!

i think you should be okay. i just ordered another one at a location 15 miles away.. this time, i printed the invoice. you should be able to come into the store and ask them for the laptop though. i guess they don't send you an email as confirmation.

$100 more, 33% more 1/3 more... but yea it looks like it's worth it... in some ways..

but if you're giving it to someone else.. hey that's $100 you save.

also technology loses value, so that's $100 less that you don't lose.

oh so i should print out my purchase screen , take it to the store and pick it up, since it might go out of stock?

Normally they will send email after item is ready for pick up. I have to wait for that one. The store is 30 miles away. Don't want to go and come with empty hands...

This may not be the best performing laptop out there but then again its only $198

I haven't seen too many Windows 8 laptops for under $200...

Has anyone received a confirmation?

compared to all the overpriced tablets in the market these days, this deal is very slick

i kind of hear you.. i wouldn't want to buy a used c50 version for over $150.. but market around here seems to fluctuate randomly..

couple of months to a year back, acer aspire one 150 (or zg5) netbooks (8.9") were going for less than $100, but now i see the the minimum is $100..

i'm not jumping on this deal yet (i am broke), which is why i hope it lasts a bit
