You do need gold for the apps, and the subscriptions transfer from computer to Xbox. You sign in with an account just like on the PC, so I believe it is paid by a Credit Card.

I have an xbox with a recent year live subscription.

I just got another xbox for the kids. Should I get a separate live subscription for them?

I remember setting up an austere viewing restrictions all over and it bugs me everytime I'm the one watching xbox content.

Also when I'm playing games, if they don't sign in on my account, they don't get the extras etc. So although I have 4 profiles set up with their avatars, they want mine for the extra songs, and general online content, saves, etc. GRRR.

What is the best advice? Mty kids are 6 and 4 and they use the xbox a lot on playdates, so it's not like I have a couple of teenagers to justify a 4 account family account.

Any advice?

Frequently is such an exaggeration. It has been twice that I know of at $35 since Thanksgiving like one of the other posters mentioned. But hoarders / fleabayers clear them out pretty fast. I cannot remember the last time these were at $30 flat. Basically the point is no one should EVER pay more than $40 for these. Groupon is attempting to sell them for $45.
