I haven't tested whether this works with the AMEX SYNC $25 credit option or not. If that works, it's a sweet deal.

The Sony eGift Card may not be redeemed or consolidated with other card, offers or coupons.
Sony eGift Cards can be purchased in any denomination from $25-$500.
Offer ends December 29, 2012.

Thanks

amex bonus won't work, goes through cashstar (just like the bonus doesn't work with Dell using same vendor)
I'm not so sure about that, as I posted on this tread: http://slickdeals.net/f/5444428-Dell-Gift-Card-Buy-a-400-eGift-Card-Get-a-Free-75-Promo-eGift-Card?v=1&p=55928544#post55928544

i am completely baffled on how this happened but I got on this deal. i got 2x $400 GC from cashstar using discovercard virtual CC#.

four days ago, i got an email from Discover CashBack stating i had purchased from "Dell Home" on 11/17/2012 and that i had earned $70 cashback.

i went to look at my charges for the past 3 months and I have not purchased anything from dell directly.

the only reasonable explanation is that CASHSTAR charged my card as "DELL CASHSTAR EGIFTCRD PORTLAND ME SECURE NUMBER XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX". perhaps using the Virtual CC#s triggered cashback link and the name as the charge triggered cashback to be applied to my account????

but even still, (10% of (400 *2)) = $80. doesn't add up to $70.

anyone else see this?

well, in this case I'll let you early adopters give it a shot and sit the sideline until I know. I don't buy anything from Sony typically so I'll need to make sure it's an actual deal before I bite. Thanks guys!

Very sneaky sony......raised prices on everything so basically you gain nothing...for ex. their 65' xbr tv was available for $4999 with no free glasses. Now they r promoting 4 free glasses worth $200 free with the tv.....and the price????? Conveniently raised to $5199. LOLZZZZZZZZZZ.

Problem is Sony is twice as expensive,so this makes it even. Am I the only one thinking that way? If yes then never mind.

Nice one OP. Few questions..

1) if i buy one single GC of $500, will i get one single GC of $100 per promotion?

2) Sales tax charged on purchase of GC?

3) What is AMEX sync offer, still available, and how to do it?

It's very vague, but it sounds like regardless of the amount, so long as the purchaser makes a $100 Gift card purchase, they receive a $20 one...so be it $100 or $5000 (or whatever the limit is), you get $20 per order OR $20 per $100...who knows unless you call up Cashster or Talk with Sony.

It's been and I was going to copy and paste the same thing.

So you can read it like this:

1) If one purchases a $500 gc, they receive FIVE $20 gift cards.
2) For every (transaction) based on at least $100 worth of gift cards (no matter if that transaction is $500), one receives a $20 gift card.

I have never seen any promo give you five gc's if say, a $500 gc is purchased.

This is confusing. Sony always allows more than one gift card in an order, so are these (sneakily) being further restricted?

I want to know this too
Yes. I did it last year when they had this deal although last year I remember it being $25 for every $100, but it was published after x-mas. Maybe I'm wrong, but in either case I was able to pay with multiple GC's but I did it at the store mind you.

Today, they raised many of their prices. I had an HX30 in my cart for some time, the price went up by $10.00 I think since yesterday. I also had a WX150 in my cart, the price hasn't changed on that one.
