I made quick search and cloud not find this deal posted here...Hope this helps others...

Sony Store is offering $20 eGift Card with puchase of $100 eGift Card.

https://store.sony.com/c/S_Gift_C..._Card_Main

(or try below link)

https://sony.cashstar.com/gift-card/buy/?ref=gc1

I haven't tested whether this works with the AMEX SYNC $25 credit option or not. If that works, it's a sweet deal.

Promotion Terms & Details
For every $100 worth of Sony eGift Cards purchased, the purchaser receives a $20 Sony eGift Card.
The Sony eGift Card may not be redeemed or consolidated with other card, offers or coupons.
Sony eGift Cards can be purchased in any denomination from $25-$500.
Offer ends December 29, 2012.

Thanks
LDP

I ordered a $500 gift card and got a single $20 e-gift card. Bastards. I even clarified that I would get a $100 e-gift card when they called to confirm the large dollar amount. Guess I'll be calling cs tomorrow.
Same here, purchased $300 eGiftCard, and received single $20 gc! Frown

Can anyone confirm if the pending transaction on CC is from Sony or from Cashstar. I remember the cashstar handels electronic GC for many companies such as CVS etc... Its possible that the charge would show up from Cashstar and not Sony making the transaction ineligible for AMEX sync... Any thoughts?

It seems like it. Transaction has to happen from Sony as a merchant, hence cashstart will not work,my guess, unless anyone using synced Amex confirms otherwise.

If you can verify that I can use multiple GCs on a single purchase, I may be in. Every other store does this, so why not Sony?

I have been looking for the 65" HX950 TV and this would bring it down to around a total price of $4K.
Definitely it won't be a problem, according to my past experience...

"The Sony eGift Card may not be redeemed or consolidated with other card, offers or coupons."

Does this mean if I get five $100 gift cards using different cards (to take advantage of the AMEX sync), I can only redeem one gift card? Making it impossible to use five gift cards for a $500 purchase?

1) Does this work only for eGift cards or for normal gift-cards too? Any idea?

2) If i buy one giftcard of $100, i will get $20....so if i buy a $500 GC, will i get ...A) ONLY ONE GC OF $20? B) ONE GC OF $100 OR C) 5 GC's of $20 each? Any idea?

Last year I used this i bought 3k worth of Cards and got 500 free.

I was able to combine all of them on purchases and picked up the NEXVG-20 Camera with Lens and a Zeis Lens for the NEX 7.

Great Deal!

I spoke to sony....for every $100 GC u buy, u get $20 each....so you should have bought 3 separate gc's of $100 each to get 3 separate bonus $20 each g.cards....

If u buy $300 or even the maximum value of $500 egiftcard in one transaction, u will get ONLY $20 BONUS GIFTCARD...Ridiculous and insanely crazy....wave

So you purchased in a single transaction (1) $300 GC and were able to receive (3) $20 GCs? TIA.
