Not true at all. I want to purchase an NEX, but have noticed that there are several 5 series. I sincerely wanted to know the difference and money is not the differentiating factor. I have only owned Canons in the past but like the design and feel of the NEX as a go to camera between DSLR and point and shoot.

Just purchased a one way ticket to Europe and want to make the most well informed decision without spending hours on google...

Hours? More like seconds on google. Maybe minutes if you are slow. If it takes you hours than the NEX is too hard for you to use.
