yes separate orders.

they knew what was up and sent them in the same envelope though Stick Out Tongue
A question for people who have the paygo service with PTEL.

If you topup with $40 card it will be valid for 150 days. So if you still have the balance left over after 150 days and you top up again with $40 will you carry over the previous minutes?

Yes, I still have $80+ of my original $100 I put in over two years ago, I just kept paying $10 every 90 days.
With the switch to GSM $10 only lasts 60 days. My monthly phone bill went from $3.33 to $5Frown

Also $50 cards last 6 months.

From what I read here and from Howard forum, Ptel using FIFO and refill will expire in one year with the exception of $100 refill. If you refill 10 every 60 days after 100 refill, the later 10 will expire in one year if you don't have a lot of calls or data and are still using the previous 100 card. The 10 refill is only serving the purpose of extend the balance. I guess you will have to use 6*10 = 60 every year at minimum to keep your number and balance alive. Not bad for some prepaid comparing to TMO.

Any suggestions for a decent phone to get for the new GSM service from PTEL? (i have a CDMA phone that i have funded via PTEL's PAYGO plan for emergency use only, which soon will be rendered obsolete.) I have emailed PTEL regarding "bands" and they said this:

"You can use any unlocked GSM phone with PTEL Mobile. However to take advantage of 3G/4G service the phone must have the AWS 1700/2100 band."

I have been unable to find ANY cellphone with that band. I don't need a super smart phone, as I only use it when traveling. Primary concern is texting, so a keyboard is imporant (virtual is fine, but not simply phone number keys - ARGH). also WIFI would be nice. Any suggestions?

I've used their service with an unlocked Samsung focus, and more recently an HTC 8X and both worked just fine.

Can anyone instruct me what I should do? I currently have simple mobile and it is 2g only. Would this still be the case with this company? I have a HTC sensation and need a carrier that provide byod and at least 3g speed. I'm in 74653, Tonkawa OK.

Looks like the Samsung Focus is only 3G, not 4G.
If i'm not particularly concerned with DATA, do i care about 4G?

The HTC Sensation has 3G speeds (actually HSPDA+, which is 3.5G) on any T-Mobile or any carrier that uses their network such as gosmartmobile.com or ptel.com might have plans that work with your calling preferences.

Why would ptel or gosmartmobile work when it is the same network and it is not currently working? Well maybe it isn't the same network? I don't really know.

It's the same network, but Simple Mobile's lowest unlimited plan limits speeds to 2G, the HTC Sensation (& any TMobile USA sold phone) supports higher speeds if your carrier account allows it.

Am using the Nexus 4. Works great.. and I get HSPA+15 is many places. Tested a couple of times and got 13Mbps at home. In NYC its not so great.. still beats Sprint hands down. Nexus 4 is amazing too.. unbelievable value for $350!
