the phone must have a very good GPS receiver. Thank you PMisYMMV
Not really. It uses assisted GPS, which triangulates your position using your cell and/or wifi and uses it to help lock the GPS faster. That is why it works indoors.

If you read my post, I have turned off my data and wifi, I am testing the built-in GPS receiver only. I am interested in the real GPS not the A-GPS part, almost every single smartphone has A-GPS but not every smartphone has real GPS, phone with only A-GPS will not work without data or cell tower nearby.
After test the phone for a couple days, I can confirm that the LG phone has real GPS receiver, works great as stand-alone GPS without data or sim.

Flipped the $50 card on eBay for $35 after all fees and getting a $15 (pending still) cashback from befrugal. So effectively this is $150

Are you happy with phone? Just got my S2 stolen and those are $300 + tax, new. I'm used to a 4.5" screen now and can't go back. TIA

Yes. This was a great upgrade for me from LG Optimus T. Thought I would dislike the bigger screen, but I am happy now. Excellent GPS, tried with Sygic.

Dual core processor is visibly more powerful and gives smooth playback in XBMC with MX for HD. Cant wait for the MHL cable I ordered on eBay to turn this into a portable HTPC.

Which MHL cable did you get? I could not find one for LG L9.
Any Micro USB to HDMI cable will do?

Hmm, not sure what to believe.
I simply assumed all phones automatically do that.

i was about to return this due to screen sensitivy issues, but they seemed to have gotten better, still worse then even my exhibit ii though, which is odd? anyone else have issues with this?

another thing i notice is the phone is pretty much always using 500MB of ram, when nothing is running, with only about 258 or so free? sometimes if i keep clicking close everything i can get it to about 450 for awhile...

anyone else notice how much ram their phone is using when no programs are running?

this is for LG L9 (international version?)

Our T mobile LG L9 may or may not support it.

Please let us know once you get your cable...

Yes.. ram manager shows above 500mb running (most of time). close to 700 to 800mb..

Once I click ram cleaner.. it goes to 450mb..

Though, I could not notice any significant lag or slow down...

Not sure about screen sensitivity problem...I had Exibit II before this LG.

it seems both has good touch screen..
