Nice. Unfortunately I spent too much on family this Christmas, no money left for me...

Amazon also has the 2% cash back. Both are authorized resellers, yes? I have been looking at this for a long time and was going to wait until spring but figured this might be the best option to buy now as I think it holds is value pretty well...

Now, for any pros out there (i'm not!) should I get the 1.4x or 2.0x extender?

I want to shoot my son's football game (outdoors) and maybe his indoor soccer / flag?

I prefer BH since i don't have to pay tax and BH has always been a reputable dealer should i need to return this without hassle. Btw, what was the lowest price on this lens last year? With that said, i might wait a few more weeks to see if it goes lower.

Does anyone know if the BH 2% cash back promotional code has a time limit or expiration date? They said a code would be given after the purchase to use on future purchases, but is there a time limit to use it? Thanks

20% off the refurb price. Still going on, but they are out of stock. Shipping was free, but I had tax. I have tax now through amazon or BH so it wasn't that big of a deal. I ended up paying $1700 for it I think.

only 10% OFF for me since I would have to pay tax...much better off buying brand new from BH
