Dominion: Big Box Board Game $55 + shipping from Tanga

Yeah, if you've never played it before, I'd suggest trying the base game and seeing if you like it.

I've played it with my friends a lot and was considering buying for a while, but I found the theme too dry where I basically feel like I'm playing a game about deck-building instead of any other theme.

If you don't like the lack of theme, but like the style of deck-building game, there have been other good games that have come recently in the genre (my favorites are Quarriors, a dice-builder and Legendary, a Marvel-Universe game). There have probably been others which you might like to try out also in the same genre, but my suggestion would be to try the base Dominion game out first, see if you like the gameplay and can envision playing it a lot, then buy the expansions which seem fun to you (there are like 6 or so expansions, so far, and not everyone adds something necessary).
