When the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban went into effect all weapons and magazines that were manufactured PRIOR to the ban were exempt.

That means they were still legal to use and as far as I know, buy and sell.

I think he is mentioning more or less that they are a good bartering item. I had a friend of a friend back years ago that bought a whole case load of lighters, fed his family that way for years using them for bartering in Germany or something.

To an extent I suppose the bartering thing is true, but I am speaking more of guns, ammunition, and accessories.

My rule is once it enters my collection, it doesn't leave.

Oic, yeah that makes sense although I doubt ill have more then 3 mags. Ammo I plan to stock pile 5k rounds of .22 LR and 1k of .223/5.56

I know this sounds sissy but I have a .22 "Assualt Rifle" a GSG-5 along with my AR. It has a spring on the side that you can pull that helps aid the loading process and makes it load quicker. I noticed with the AR after loading about 100 rounds I noticed it was much harder to load. I mean I could load 100 rounds in my .22 LR (5 mags) by the time I could get 30 in my AR. Do metal/new mags have a break in time for them. I mean they seemed tough to put in.
