If I were to send this to my friends, I'd rather send them the one where they offer 30K points or such, making it $300 for them.

In light of the recent offers, I still think this is a relatively okay deal. Thats $150 given away for someone signing up. Thats $50 more than this post from September: http://slickdeals.net/f/5251760-Chase-100-bonus-5-on-quarterly-categories-with-Chase-Freedom-through-Oct-31-2012?v=1

I don't think I have seen a "good deal" for sign up in quite a few months. So this really is not "bad"

Referrals for Chase are new. We can wait until Chase offers $300 again (if ever) and then refer to possibly get $50 on top of that.

I would like to see $300 cash back but keep in mind with high cashback offers you do not get NO INTEREST. I jumped in on the $350 offer and have interest on the card since day one. The current promotion is $100 and 15 months no interest on balance transfer (3% fee) / purchases. I don't think I saw a SD promo for $300-$350 cashback and 15 month financing. Some would prefer a mix of cashback and no interest and others would prefer the larger amount of cashback. Just depends on what balance you carry, what amount you spend and your tolerance.

I believe the Chase Sapphire is $300-400 cash back and 15 month at 0% APR.

If they won't go for the free ipod, they won't for this. I hate referral-based incentives.

I don't understand why this post has gotten such bad reviews. Someone please explain: is it because there are other offers that are better, or is it because people wish there were the high cash incentive offers that haven't been seen for about a year?

This offer for $150 made front page 2 years ago... musta been a good deal (at the time?): http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/43893/chase-150-cashback-with-new-chase-freedom-credit-card-approval-after-you-spend-500-in-3-months

Also, seeing how this promotion goes until february, i may be jumping to conclusions but i don't expect there'd be any other offers going on until after
