Are these better than the MEElectronics A161 that's also on sale right now?

$20 difference isn't much, but I heard that the A161 are more balanced overall than the X10.

That's the impression I get. I just got the a161's in the mail today. I'm a newbie to legitimate audio products but they remind me an awful lot of my SR850's which are also supposed to be very flat. The SR850's are supposed to be especially good for classical since they have clear mid's, trebles, and befitting bass; a flat equalizer.

These sound the same way.

Not helpful since I have no knowledge to back it up but I have no idea how these stack up to the A161's which are supposed to be a flagship model.

Better is a relative term....but read joker's response to my questions in the A161 thread. You might find them useful

Got these headphones last time around. I ordered 3 sets, sold 2 and kept 1 for myself. Great headphones for the price!
