I got these for $80 bucks on Cyber Monday. It's not that great, I wish I never bought them. I can hear the wires LOUDLY grinding against my cloths when I'm walking.
Follow the directions on how they are supposed to be worn, I'm willing to bet you're not.

Every IEM does that, provided you don't do something that cuts down on the vibration coming through the chord, the little cinch that tightens the chord behind your head should do that.

I wonder what songs extreme audiophiles listen to or do they just wallow in the sound of superiority?
I bought these last year when they were $100 on a slickdeal and I must say they are awesome. I used to have 3-fi's but I lost them so I can say that these have much more comfort and long term wear. The quality of the sound is definitely noticeable over cheaper, crappy earbuds. It sounds more "true" and less bassy or too much high end. The 3-fi's were awesome for overall bass and better sound, but they were huge and bulky.

Am I the only one who sees an erect veiny penis when looking at these headphones design?

I bought two pairs of these last year around this time of year.

They are EXTREMELY light weight in terms of actual weight and in terms of build quality.

Because the wires are so thin (one pair broke after light use) and because they do not lock snugly into the ear canal, they are only appropriate to wear while sitting down. While they do sound good for this price range, for me, having to use the so delicately is not at all the point of earbuds. If was going to be immobile while listening to music, I'd use over the ear headphones.

In short, I don't think these are good value for the money.

One plus, the warranty was fulfilled and I was sent a new pair which I plan on selling on eBay.

They are not as good however since my TF10's crapped out after 2.5 years I can't do a side by side comparison. Even though these are excellent are far more comfortable (even though I never had problems with the TF10 once I found the right tips) I would trade these for another pair of TF10s any day though.

The TF10s have better bass and highs, more of a sound profile I like. These however as astounding for the size and the fact they only have a single balanced armature.

I really do not like the fact the cable is not replaceable. I can solder however I would prefer to not have to open them up to solder a new cable on if this one brakes. I am tempted to get a new cable with a build in microphone and single button and solder it on. I was used to my TF10s with the VI cable and I miss everything about them.
Ditto this - i have the TF10s and the 3 armatures make for a very versatile sound profile. So far it's performed well for classical, rock, and pop (i listen to all three). The X10 is excellent for classical, i've heard. Very clean sound. I passed on it however because i was looking for one with the replaceable cables and tips. Note that the TF10 is best worn with the wire looped behind the ear. Some people hate that, but i find it a very secure and comfy fit..

Waited too long on the $74.99 Ultimate Ears UE700 deal, and the negative reviews and poor build got me turned off from these.

I bought these for $95 last Black Friday and used them for over a year as gym/beater earphones. They are very good for the purpose as they are the only universal in-ear headphones that I can tolerate in terms of comfort.

The Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 is absolutely horrendous in terms of comfort. The X10s disappear in your ears.

My other primary in-ear headphones are the JH Audio JH13s and I am not at all disappointed with the X10 for the backup/beater purpose. I think they would make a great pair of primary earphones and are a great deal for $90.

It's not. They're both good deals. UE700 deal has been dead for a few days though.

I bought the X10 last month on Cyber Monday for $85, initially I liked their sound.

Last week I bought the Ultimate Ears 700 and put them through burn-in for about 70hrs. Here is the comparison:

1. Even without the burn-in UE 700 had much more detail than the X10
2. After the burn-in the UE 700 just shines, very clear highs, controlled Bass, overall very close to my Brainwavz B2(same Knowles driver)
3. X10 and UE 700 both have almost the same size, which is unrealistic for the UE 700 as it has a dual driver.
4. The fit and finish (if you care) of both X10 and UE 700 is the same but X10 is just more fragile.

Overall in my opinion the X10 is not the same leagues as the UE 700 in terms of sound quality(UE700 is far superior). (I have put my X10 on CL, if not sold there then I will just return 'em back to Amazon)

So the UE700 do need to burn in? I thought the treble/voices/high end sounded a little tinny. I'm used to wearing monster turbines, so the UE700 are different. But if what you say is correct, I'll let them burn in for 70+ hours. Any recommendations/links to good burn in websites/playlists/etc?

Have you heard the UE 700 and X10 ?

For $75 the UE700 were a great buy, but at $99 they are still a much better value than the X10.
