Tiger Direct Amex Rebate Card - is it possible to get cash?

Cool i called again around 4:07 pm central time, first rep. Said "Hello I received a prepaid rebate card, it said in the instructions to call the number on a back to issue a paper check". Eddie (the rep) pause for a second and said you want a refund. I said yes paper check please. He got the first card, and then he asked again if i wanted to a refund, said yes I have 2 card, if it is convenient to refund one at a time or both of them. So he took the second card number, and placed me on hold about 2 times to verify address and process the refund. About 12 minutes waiting, will update after the call.

Update: 16 minutes, got the case ID, he was actually very polite. 20 business days, yay!

i see, that's why it was so hassle free for staples easy rebates, sent the money to paypal and withdraw to bank, i think walgreens was like that too.

I use it to buy Amex gc or pay my Verizon bill. The nice thing about Verizon wireless is that you can prepay the bill, meaning pay for months of service in advance. You can also use this credit to buy phones, accessories,etc.

Trying to get multiple cards consolidated onto one card from American Express is such a pain

You can also get the refund deposited via ACH in 15 business days rather than waiting 20 days for a check.

interesting... you are referring to TD's Amex cards only, right? Do you just give them your bank's routing info and account's number? Have you done this before, how did it go? Thank you

Yep, TD Amex cards. You give them your account number and bank's name/routing number in addition to all the normal stuff they need to send you a check. If the rep doesn't know about this option (or any other part of refund process) just say never mind and try again for a better rep. I've been doing it that way since the I found out at the end of January. I haven't received any yet but the first one isn't scheduled to arrive until the end of the week.

My first deposit came in today, which is the 15th business day after my request.
