recently bought a 616, can't resist this price, so just pulled the trigger on 809 too.
616 will be moved to the basement, and 809 will be in the living room.. 48lbs vs 29lbs between the two models. am I paying more just for weight? ![]() does anyone know more details (experience) that how much better 809 vs 616? thanks Last edited by bens_brother; 12-21-2012 at 01:11 PM.. |

I got one yesterday on warehousedeals for $389. I am wondering what would be my coverage options since Squaretrade doesnt really cover "used" items..
From squaretrade.com... Can I get coverage for my refurbished or used item? Answer: SquareTrade offers Protection Plans directly for new items only. Some of our resellers offer Protection Plans on refurbished items, given that the item was also purchased through that reseller. Used items are only eligible when purchased on eBay. We do not cover used items from retail stores. We also do not cover any items, regardless of condition, purchased from classified ads, classifieds websites like Craigslist, or other person-to-person sales. Used items are eligible for a 1 year Protection Plan, and may be eligible for a second year for an extra fee. The Protection Plan on a used item begins on day 61 after purchase. The shipment is due tomorrow so need to decide whether to refuse it and just get a new one.. Last edited by slickDe@ler; 12-21-2012 at 01:27 PM.. |

I have a bowers and wilkins setup using CM5's, a HTM61 and 686's for my surrounds.... using a 609 to push them but seems underpowered for these speakers.... would this 809 do the job? Can anyone who is familiar with bowers speakers comment for me?
Thanks in advance |

I never retested because after the party, I ended up just plugging the two other speakers in the house as Front Highs instead of zone 2. It is easier to play music in the family room with the 5.1 with the other two speakers configured as that instead of Zone 2. She was having problems setting the volume level of zone 2. It is rare we will will ever need two separate zones...and it is easier for my wife to use it. She can just turn the receiver on and the music plays in both areas. TV is setup to just play 5.1. I set the ipod (USB) and FM to all channel stereo for her. Good luck with the 609! |
